Gordon Cucullu (ret.) who says until now the war, whether known as the Global War on Terror or the more appropriate designation by Frank Gaffney as the "War for the Free World", has been fought by conventional, geographically oriented commands. Despite the 2003 memo Gedrich and Vallely cite, Central Command (USCENTCOM) has maintained the lead in combating Islamofascist terrorists. Other geographical commands such as Pacific Command and Southern Command have had a piece of the action, all supported by SOCOM and the special operations community. This is considered by many to be exactly the reverse of what is needed.

Fired DePaul professor and free speech proponent Thomas Klocek was a popular and respected 15 year adjunct professor at DePaul University in Chicago, the nation's largest Catholic college, who was fired after a heated discussion with Muslim students outside of the classroom.
